TYPOMANIA meets Coimbra

From 2 March to 2 May, the Moscow International Festival TYPOMANIA invades Coimbra and joins the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Coimbra with the exhibition: «24 + 1: East West Post meets Coimbra» in which the 24 posters that were part of the exhibition “East West Post” will be displayed, a challenge posed to poster designers from all over the world with the aim of thinking and questioning how the concepts of East and West are inserted in their personal, social, cultural, ideological, political or geographical reality.

 

On March 2 (15h, Anfiteatro B1, Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Coimbra), we count with the presence of Alexander Vasin, designer and director of the TYPOMANIA festival, who will share with us a little of the history of typography in Russia with the lecture: «Vodka — Rodchenko — Typomania. A short history of typography in Russia ».
