Letterspecies is an algorithmic system that generates glyphs by filling typographical skeletons using different drawing techniques. The typographical skeletons are automatically extracted from existing typefaces from Google Fonts and Velvetyne Type Foundry, representing the essential shape of each glyph.

Different drawing techniques can be used to fill and thus give shape to each typographic skeleton. You can find outputs generated by this system at @letterspecies.
